Hamvention sounds crazy interesting. I might have to cross the pond one year and check it out. What's the percentage of preppers to your standard hams? ;-)
Cheers. I was riding round the Californian mountains with my biker gang (The Hells Nerds 😜) and took an FT5D with me. At the time it seemed like everyone I was talking to was either in a mountain hideout or in a bunker. Maybe I had stumbled upon a Preppers-on-the-air event. 😉
Great to see you at Hamvention, Ria! Attendance was more than the entire population of Fairbanks...that should give folks a new perspective! I noticed that the ARRL QST archives are down too...that's probably the ARRL service I use the most...very crucial for writing new articles! I hope they get things up and running soon. It was (and always has been) a lot of fun working with Gordon West...I sure hope I have his energy when I'm his age. HI! Take care and don't work to hard!
Ria - Thank you for the mention of Zero Retries! Getting a trickle of new subscribers from your mention these past days.
Glad to see you posting again, Ria :-)
Yes, as time allows. I love this, it is a hobby for me. But I realize that my fellow hams like the content. SO I will try to get it out there.
Great to see you back Ria!
Thanks for the update, from a new sub!
Welcome back, Ria! Kudos to N8GNJ for sharing the good news!
Thanks!!!

Most hams there seemed to be “standard” hams. Preppers aren’t a huge minority in ham radio,
